Major players in the energy sector are gathering from Sept. 19 to 21, 2007, for the PowerTrends exhibition and Powertech Business Forum to focus on improvements in energy policies and regulations, environment strategies and incentives that will enhance the confidence of investors and lenders to engage in more projects.
The main objective is to secure supply and reliability of energy and minimize the risks of power shortages. Sustainability of energy supplies can only be secured from traditional and alternative and renewable sources of energy. Participation by private investors and lenders in energy projects is important due to the long lead time and huge capital expenditures required for the development and operation of energy projects.
